Located in southwest Florida, the Nature Coast, FMB offers white sand beaches in a tropical setting. The Northeast and the Midwest are stunning in the spring, summer and fall, but why endure bleak, freezing weather when you can relax in the sun searching for sea shells on coconut tree beaches? This unit was built by folks who love the natural abundance of the area and is conveniently located in the quiet part of Fort Myers Beach. The porch overlooks a mangrove edged pond that is teaming with wildlife. You will see egrets and herons (including black and yellow-crowned night herons) while sitting and enjoying your morning coffee. Go for a walk on the beach (seriously just 3 minutes from the door) and you will see dolphins feeding along the shore and occasionally, a manatee. The west facing beach provides a spectacular sunset almost every night. The unit is comfortably furnished, not furnished like a rental, furnished like a home. We offer monthly rentals only - that is how we keep the place nice. Arrive on the first and depart the last day of the month. We are looking for tenants who will treat this place like their home. Publix Supermarket is one mile away. Plenty to do on island including four parks, a shrimp festival, historic sites, and fishing. And there are tons of places nearby to explore including a vibrant downtown in Fort Myers, a spectacular ArtFest the first weekend in February, Sanibel Island, Pine Island, Naples, the Everglades, Big Cypress, Lovers Key State Park and Corkscrew Sanctuary. Or, take in some baseball at either of our two spring training stadiums for the Boston Red Sox and the Minnesota Twins. The beautiful campus of Florida Gulf Coast University is nearby to visit or watch a game of baseball, basketball, and soccer. Take an evening to see a Broadway touring show at the Barbara B. Mann Theatre in Fort Myers. Price does not include state and local taxes which total 11.5%.

Scenic View

The view out the back porch is stunning and is visible from much of the house. It overlooks a lake teaming with wildlife. The property is landscaped with Florida native plants and shrubs and the property is adjacent to a Catholic church on an extensive wooded property. The landscaping, lake, and woods bring in an assortment of birds that thrill even expert birders.
